THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING FAIRY TALE MOVIE IN STUDENTS' WRITING SKILLS OF NARRATIVE TEXTS AT SMA MASEHI BIRU BIRU IN THAE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2021/2022

Abstract

Thesis entitled “ THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING FAIRY TALE MOVIE IN STUDENTS` WRITING SKILSS OF NARRATIVE TEXT”, (an experimental study in class X of SMA Masehibirubiru in academic year 2021/2022). Background of this research is teacher still use method of confessional, teacher only deliver material orally. Sometimes the teacher didn`t use media so students get bored easily. Teaching the learning process should vary to make students feel fun in the learning process. To improve students` writing skills, researcher use film as a teaching medium to help them in teaching and learning. The purpose of this research is to prove using a film that is more effective in achieving students in writing narrative text and the subject of this study are students of class X-1 and X-2. Number of subjects 58 students. The research design used is experimental research .in this study conducted pre-test, and post-test. Researchers provide tests to measure students` ability to write. In analyzing data table IV which is higher than table III value. The results showed that students taught by using films in writing narrative text get better grades that those without usingfilm. So, it means there is a significant influence on the writing achievement of students in narrative text.
