Abstract: The objective of the research was to determine the increase in participation and learning outcomes of mathematics through the active learning mrthod of group to-group axchange ( GGE) type. The subject of this research is the validator. The validator that are axpected as data sources are two lecturers of the mathematicseducation program and 3 junior high school mathematics teachers. The objects of research are : (1) student workheets for presenting algebraic from material, and (2) learning design for algebraic from material through the GGE type active learning method assisted by LKPD in junior high school. From the result of the discussion, it was found that the average score of each aspect of the assessment of the five validator was 4.22 with criteria "valid". The overall average score for the LAS assessment is in the valid criteria. The five validators concluded that LAS can be used with minor revisions. From the table, it is found that the average score of each aspect of the assessment of the five validator is greater than or equal to 4 with "valid" criteria. The overall average score for the assessment is in the valid criteria, which is 4,182. The five validator concluded that the LKPD could be used with minor revisions. Based on the analisys of the test data above, it can be concluded that the active learning method of the group to-group axchange (GGE) type has an effect on increasing participation and learning out comes for students of MTs Zending Islam Indonesia. And the researcher suggests that the teacher is expected to be able to apply active learning type group to group exchange (GGE) so that students have high mathematical abilities.
