The Effect of Using Media Poster in Improving Students' Speaking Ability at Victory Education Center in Academic Year 2020-2021

Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out the effect of using media poster in improving students’ speaking ability and to find out the student’s problems in speaking. The population of this research was Elementary Grade students of Victory Education Center at academic year 2020/2021. The sample was 40 students. They were experimental group was given treatment by using media poster and control group used conventional method. The research was conducted by using an experimental research design. The experimental group was given pre-test, treatment and post-test and the control group was given pre-test and post-test. The instrument of the research was spoken test, which was given in pre-test and post-test. The result of this research showed the t-observe value was higher than t-table (5,45>2,00). The hypothesis alternative was accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using media poster on student’s speaking ability.
