An Analysis On Optimism Of The British As Reflected In Burnett The Secret Garden

Abstract

The objective of this research is to change the economy of the British People and to find out the Effect of British Optimism. The method of this research is used Descriptive qualitative method. Data sources from this analysis are words, phrases, sentences, behavior, dialogue between characters or quotations that contain positive thoughts and optimism in the novel “The Secret Garden” Data is collected through reading the novel and understanding the contents of the novel. The first analysis of this research is the Effect of British Optimism in the 19th century which includes aspects of the economy. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the novel “The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson Burnett revealed: How to apply the optimism attitude in achieving something useful. Such as British Optimism in changing the economy to be better.
