dc.description.abstract | This research relate with improvement of the student’s reading comprehension by using Cooperative Script Method. The Aim of this research were to identify whether improved the students’ ability in reading through cooperative script method. This research was conducted by using Class Action Research (CAR). The subject of the research was the teenth (X) grade of SMK Bina Bersaudara Medan. To identify whether cooperative script method improved the students’ reading comprehension. The researcher was used to collect the quantitative data, the researcher found that the students involved productively in leraning study process, they seen more confidence with used cooperative script method to conveyed result of discussion through their pair group than before. It can be seen from the data in two cycle with the result of discussion through their pair group than before. It can be seen from the data in two cycle with result of test process was started first cycle until second cycle namely 68,03 (Cycle I), 79,06 (Cycle II). To know the students’ ability according themeselve in reading English by using coopertative script method, the researcher used Questionnaire to balance between quantitative and qualitative data and factly the both were balanced between test and questionnaire average able in reading English through cooperative script method, the questionnaire were given to each students in the end of the cycle. Based on result of questionnaire, the percentage of the optain A (Very Able) was 23,8% and then for the option B (Able) was 37,0% and option C (Quite Able) was 28,0% and the last option D (Not Able) was 11,0% . The finding of questionnaire suggested that almost students dominate choose B. From the result of the data, they showed that cooperative script method increases the students’ reading comprehension and ability significantly. | en_US |
