A CONTRASTIVE ANALYSIS OF NOUN FORMATION BETWEEN ENGLISH AND INDONESIA

Abstract

This research concerns is aimed to find the similarities and differences between English and Indonesian Noun Formation the type of this research is quantative research. The research with the discussion of a contrastive Analysis of NounFormation between English and Indonesian grade XI at SMA Swasta Mulia.The problem of this research to know the students’ aboutcontrastive analysis. The Data were collected about Analysis of Noun Formationbetween English and Indonesian. To get the data, the student’s grades XI SMA Swasta Mulia were treated as respondents. The populations of this research are all of students' in the third class of SMA Swasta Mulia. The sample of this research are twenty respondents that Analysisof Noun Formation between English and Indonesian. After the data wereanalyzing it is concluded thatfirst students are unable to Analysis theNoun Formation between English and Indonesian. It suggested that the teachershould explain as much aspossible about a contrastive Analysis of NounFormation between English and Indonesian.
