dc.description.abstractThis research is on vocabulary was conduted by using quantitative technique in processing the data and getting the result. The researcher uses test as the instrument (post-test and post-test). There were experimental class and control class, the experimental class was treated by teaching vocabulary with usage of spelling bee games. The control class was taught by conventional way. The vocabulary is the most important thing that we should be mastered. If the students have more vocabulary, they can develope four skills in studying English.The research was done in MTs Negeri Tebing Tinggi. The sample of the research was 60 students. The result shows that the result of t-test is 30.30, the critical value on the t-table uis 2.00.It can be concluded that spelling bee games is effective in teaching vocabulary at the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Tebing Tinggi in the academic year 2019/2020.en_US
