dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research is to know the implementation of teaching recount text, to find out the improvement of students’ writing skill of recount text, and know the design of classroom action research. The methods of collecting data were questionnaire and written test. The researcher conducted three cycles including cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. Pre-cycle was done before implementing action research by giving lecturer without technique to get pre-test score. Each cycle of the research consisting of planning, action, observing, and reflecting. Planning in the each cycle was used to prepare learning material and research instrument. The same technique was used in the action research. The result of writing test shows that the students’ mean score in the pre test 36,25, post test I was 46,2, post test II was 72,8, post test III was 92,65. Meanwhile , the result of percentage for students who passed KKM in the pre test was 0%, post test I 25%, post test II 70%, post test III 90%. The result of questionnaire was 88 responses agree that personal experience and guided question technique improve students skill in writing. which could be concluded that in good category. Based on explanation above, the result of questionnaire and the written test showed significant improvement. It could be concluded that the implementation of personal experience and guided question technique could improve the students’ writing skill in recount text. | en_US |
