Abstract: This paper entitled Antagonist Betrayal in Nicholas Spark’s “Dear John”. The data of research were taken from an English novel Dear John by Nicholas Spark (2006). The problems of the research are to analyzed Antagonist’s betrayal in selfishness and Antagonist’s betrayal in loving another person. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This study discuss how antagonist’s betrayal in selfishness and loving another person . There are three result in selfishnss , Doing something as she liked, Neglecting other, and Being carless. And three result in loving another person , expressing her love to another person through letter, confss her loved through spoken, telling the story about the affair begin.
