AN ANALYSIS OF INDIVIDUALISM AS REFLECTED IN FANGIRL NOVEL BY RAINBOW ROWELL

Abstract

This thesis is a research about An Analysis of Individualism As Reflected in Fangirl Novel By Rainbow Rowell. The objective of the research is to found : 1) How is individualism as reflected in Fangirl novel and 2) Negative and Positive impact of individualism that found in Fangirl novel. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The data resource of this research was the novel Fangirl which was publish in 2013. In collected the data, the research used note taking as the instrument to get the data. The technique of data analysis in this study used sociology literature approach. This thesis discuss about individualism personality owned by Cath Avery as a main character in the novel in her life as a Freshman in her college, and impact of being individualism Cath difficult to interact with the other freshman include her roommate in her dorm Reagan.
