Motherhood in Secret Daughter by. Shilpi Somaya Gowda

Abstract

The objective ofthis research is to know motherhood in ShilpiSomayaGowda’s novel “ Secret Daughter". The research used a descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data of this research are words, phrases, and sentences, action, dialogue, between characters or quotations that contain women’s motherhood in the novel “ Secret Daughter’’. The data were collected from the novel entitled“ Secret Daughter’’.The first analysis of this research is about motherhood in the novel. The second analysis is about the factors the influence characters of motherhood in this novel. It is found that all aspects of social and cultural differences in the novel “Secret Daughter”. From the analysis of the research, the result was found in the ShilpiSomayaGowda novel.
