Abstract: This research is about 'An Analysis of Students' Self-Confidence in Speaking for Eleventh Grade at SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan in Academic Year 2020/2021'.In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods. The researcher chose 10 students of class XI MIA 2 as the subject of research. In collecting data, researchers used a questionnaire. Researchers use three main phases of data analysis: data reduction, data display, and raw conclusion or verify . This study aims to analyze how students' self-confidence in speaking at SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan.The results showed that of the 10 students who were the subject of research, only 3 students who had confidence in speaking were still in the "less" category, with a score range of 50-62. While the other 7 students were in the "precisely" category with a score range of 63-74. Based on the respondents' answers, 70% of students are not afraid if asked by the teacher to appear in front of the class, while the other 30% of students feel afraid when asked by the teacher to appear in front of the class. 60% of students answered that they didn't feel confident when a friend looked at them seriously,while the other 40% answered that they felt confident when their friends looked at them seriously and 60% of the students answered that they didn't have good social skills because of their lack of confidence, while the other 40% answered that they feel they have good social skills so that it makes them confident.
