dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate student motivation and achievement in English and its relationship to teacher motivation and the use of strategies in the classroom. The study participants were 4 teachers in 1 High School, Sibolangit and 384 students in their class. The unit of analysis is the English class,on 2016-2017 Education year. Our results show that teacher motivation is related to the use of strategies to motivate teachers, which in turn is related to student motivation and English Achievement. As such, any changes in the education system that promote a higher level of teacher motivation must result in an increase in the level of student education.en_US
