Abstract: The purpose of this development research is to find out the validity and effectiveness of teaching material narrative text based on Sparkol VideoScribe. The development of teaching material narrative text based on Sarkol VideoScribe can increase the students’ interest in X grade MAS PP Raudhatul Hasanah Medan. The advantages of this development based on Sparkol VideoScribe such as: (1) Enhance teaching the material to be the most attractive and effective. (2) Can help to improve the interesting of students in reading and being active in the classroom. (3) Stimulate students’ attending of the lesson. (4) Increase students’ achievement in learning process. (5) Make the students are more exited. (6) The teachers enjoy and serve in learning atmosphere. This development method using type of research and development will produce a product. The model used is the development model of ADDIE that consists of 5 steps. As for the development measures are the following: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research determines the result of normality and homogeneity before search the result of t-test. The calculation the result of t-count is 16,2 and t-table is 1,6892. It means Ho rejected and Ha accepted because t-count is greater than t-table and there is a significant difference between learning achievements before and after using of teaching the material based on Sparkol VideoScribe subtheme the smartest animal in X grade students in MAS PP Raudhatul Hasanah Medan
