Abstract: This research aims to determine the language ability of students taught by the recitation method with different personalities referring to the STIFIn theory. The population in this research is all second grade students of SD Al Fauzi Medan and the sample are 61 students as the experimental group. This type of research was a mixed method research data was obtained from the results of tests, observations and interviews. After calculating the quantitative data, it can be obtained t-score of 4,79 and t-table of 2,39. This means that t-score is higher than t-table (4,79>2,39) with a degree of freedom(df) 59. The results show that there is an increase in students’ language ability by using the recitation method. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. And it can be concluded that the recitation method has a significant effect on students’ language ability. Then, in the qualitative data the results obtained in the observation and interview which can be concluded that the most prominent of attitude is found in the sensing intelligence machine who got a score of 3 which was good, the response of student is found in the instinct intelligence machine who got a score of 3 was good and the responsibility of students in class with a higher score of students who have thinking intelligence machine who got a score of 4 was very good.
