dc.description.abstractThe aimsofthisstudywasto find outthesignificance effect ofYouTube videoin teachingwritingabilityofproceduraltext at MTSAlJam’iyatulWashliyah GedungJohor.The researchdesignusedinthisstudyisan experimentaldesign with a quantitative approach. The subjectof theresearch waseighth grade of MTS AlJam’iyatulWashliyahGedungJohor whichconsistedof50students,thereare classVIII-Basthe experimental groupand VIII-Casthe control group.This research employeda test(pre-testandpost-test)asaninstrumentand also observationand documentationasa compliment. Theywere organizationideas, developedideas,grammar, vocabulary, andmechanics.Afteranalyzingthetexts writtenbythestudent,theresearchercategorizesthem intosixcategories,namely excellent,very good good,fair,enough,and needguidance.To analyzed data, the researcherusedstatistically andSPSS.The Mean Scoreand Improvement ofThe Students’WritingAbilitywithYouTube Video 87.50%andwithout YouTube Video68.75%.StudentswhotaughtbyusingYouTubevideogothigherscore than studentswho taught without using YouTube Video. The resultsof calculationsusingthe t test showthat thet-testresultsfromSPSSreveal a sig(2- tailed)of(0.01<0,05).There wassignificant effectofusingYouTube Video for students,especially inenglishwritingskills. The result ofdata analysisshowed that byusingYouTube videoas mediaimprovedthe students‘abilityin writing skill, stimulated thestudentsto be more active, got interest, and motivationin joining the class.en_US
