dc.description.abstractThis researchwas conducted to analysis the students’ motivation with ice breakingat MadrasahIbtidaiyahSyababul Qorib Perbaungan2023/2024 in academic yearwhichconsistedof29students.Thisresearch usedqualitative method.Teachingactivitiesarenot only limited to the teacherprovidingmaterial but alsopay attentionto studentswhetherthey arefocusedornot duringthe learningprocess.Thepresenceofinternalandexternalfactorsisveryimportant sothatthelearningprocessisgoodandenjoyable.Lowlearningmotivation makeslearningnot optimal.Studentsarenot focused andenthusiastic because teachersoftenusethe lecturemethod in the learningprocess.Sothat studentscan focusagain,icebreakingisneededto restoreapleasant learningatmosphere. Ice breaking functions as a learningprocess, as an energizer before providing the mainmaterial,icebreaking,andwhen experiencingboredom,it givesapleasant impressionwhen learning.Examplesofice breakingincludeprovidingquizzes, games,singingand othersthatmakelearningmorefun.Theobjectivesofthis researchare(1)Analysislearningmotivationintheface-to-face learningprocess, (2)Analysisstudentlearningmotivationthroughthe useof icebreaking in learning.Incollectingthe data,researcherdistributed interview andice breaking (singasong)to measuretheirmotivationin learningEnglish,andthe researcher usedopposite-wordsongasaice breakingand it iscategorized into good motivationbecausethe studentsvery excitedtolearningEnglish.Based onthe research finding, it can be concluded that the studentshavefairmotivationin learning English because it is effective bythe teacher, parents and environment.en_US
